BoF sessions where front end database solutions were discussed. Ruby on rails came out as a favorite with PHP as close second followed by CGI and others. Agreed that PHP was to be used with caution and to follow security guidelines when using in the public domain. Stressed that good database design would always make a FE better and easier to produce and good validation at FE level was no substitute for good schema, both are required.
