Check out and check in
Checking out a (part of) a repository is, as with most SCMs:
$ svn co <repo>
You can give the checked out repository fragment a different name:
$ svn co <repo> <name>
Once you have made modifications, you can check them back in with:
$ svn ci
or, if you only want some files as part of the check-in:
$ svn ci <file1> <file2> ...
You can specify the changelog message on the command line with:
$ svn ci -m "Log message"
To show the status of the files in the working copy (whether they're under version control, modified, have a known merge conflict, etc.):
$ svn st
